Messages you exchange with a company through Bouwradar are a commercial record. Conversation threads, their messages and their attachments are retained indefinitely and are not deleted when you close your account. When an account is removed, we pseudonymise it: your name is replaced by a label such as "Deleted User abc12345", but the message content stays visible to the counterparty so their record of the exchange remains intact. We keep this content on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining an accurate record of business communications (Art. 17(3) GDPR).
